Who Am I?
Hello! My name is Jared and I’m an analogue enthusiast. Actually, more accurately, I’m obsessed with cameras and with shooting film. I’ve got forty-something cameras at this point, spanning all shapes and sizes. From the Coke Can Camera to the Mamiya 645, I’m ready to shoot anytime!
Why do I take photographs? Well, I’d say that I’m trying to document my world. I’m more interested in emotion and feeling than I am in physical accuracy… I don’t want my pictures clean and crisp. Rather, I often want my pictures to LOOK the way they FELT at the moment of exposure. I suppose that’s why I love film, especially redscale, and I’m particularly fond of toy cameras.
I hope that I’m able to share a bit of my life with you, and I hope that you share some of yours with me!
